Jersey Shore

This post really should be titled "Tons of Selfies" because that's really all it is.  I know I promised that the next post would be about the baby.  I assure you that one is in the works, (it's a long one) but I wanted to put some pictures of our weekend on here, while it was still fresh in my mind.

This sweet, wonderful man surprised me with an overnight trip, child free, to New Jersey this weekend.

We ate out...went to a movie...slept in late the next morning (until 8:00 am) and spent the day doing whatever we wanted.
We had the best time ever.

We stopped at a zoo on our way to the beach.
See the belly on that pig?  That's about how I'm looking these days. :)

After lunch we found the Wildwood Boardwalk and walked down onto the beach.  It was a gorgeous day, just a bit breezy, hence the winter clothing and absence of a bathing suit.  We thought for sure we'd find a dead body under the building to the left there.  We never did, but I'm sure there has to be at least one in there.

J told me to strike a pose,
So I struck one.

Aaand then another.
K, calm down there sister.

And everyone knows that if you find yourself on the beach with a cute guy...you kiss him.
(And then post a picture of it as proof.)

We were trying to get a good picture of the rides in the background

We spent a long time strolling along the beach.  Since nobody else was there, we got our hands on the best seashells!  Pretty soon I ran out of hand and pocket space, so I had to let some of them go.

On our last overnight outing, if you remember, we ended up totaling our car, so Jordan was extra cautious with his driving this time around.   It was hard after such a fun and relaxing day to have to head back home, but I couldn't wait to hug the kids and show them all of our beach findings, and pictures of the cool animals we saw.

My mom was in on this secret plan of Jordan's all along and was so sweet to take our kids for us.
Grammy, if you read this, we are so very grateful for you!

I have to say...Jordan earned some major major bonus points for this one. :)

I know she will be a hot commodity with all of the visitors and family. oooooh I am just so excited I could burst. (also, sorry about the major meltdown while dustin was on the phone-EW was a little on the sleepy side… ;) love you all!

Also what happened to Hayleys blog?

    1. Jen!! Hitch a ride with Dustin, Ari, and Eli! Wouldn't that be fabulous. Sure miss you, and hope all is well with your family. And I agree with Ari....you should start a blog of your own. We need to hear about life from the point of view of a mom of teenagers. That's an adventure of it's own. Love ya!
