Night before the first day of school

The girls lie sleeping like angels in their beds while I have been scurrying around the house prepping for their first day of school. 

This is the one day a year that I am organized.

It's also the one day a year that I pull out this little gadget called an iron.

I had to pause and snap a picture of the ridiculousness:

I don't enjoy walking around without shoes on in my house...especially late at night when the centipedes tend to roam...so here I am in my bed clothes and Sunday heels.  Just ironing away in my basement. If Stacy London could see me right now...

Lunches made...(minus the turkey sandwiches)

My annual tokens of wisdom, shared....

Monday workout, planned...

And all of it by 1:03 am

Which seemed like the perfect time to break for a snack.

And that is how I do.

***A little update on the back to school situation.  My girls rolled out of bed at the crack of dawn and are completely ready for school at 6:40 am.  They don't leave for another 2 hours.  They might just be a little excited.

And I'm living on like 5 minutes of sleep here....so, back to bed I go.
